Brown, 24, sustained a chest injury during the team’s Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans. Brown was unable to practice all week due to the injury, and the team decided to give him extended rest to deal with the issue.
The move ensures Brown will miss at least the team’s next three games. The injury is not believed to be season ending, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, so Brown could play in December.
Brown has dealt with multiple injuries this season. He was limited early in the year with a knee injury, dealt with a hamstring issue and missed a practice before Week 7’s game due to an illness.
In 10 games, Brown has 46 receptions for 615 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Titans dealing with multiple big injuries
The injury comes at a tough time for the Titans. The team is already without running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver Julio Jones. Both players were placed on Injured Reserve due to injuries. Jones, who is dealing with a hamstring issue, is expected back in December. Henry, who injured his foot, could miss the rest of the season.
Brown, Henry and Jones were expected to lead the way on an explosive Titans’ offense. Even with all the injuries, the Titans are 8-3 and sit at the top of the AFC South.
